HAQQISLAM: (from the Arabic Haqq Islam, New or True Islam) Religious doctrine derived from Islamism, and its associated Neomuslim culture. A modern interpretation of the set of dogmas and precepts of the Quran that permeates the everyday lives of its followers. Founded by Farhad Khadivar in the late 21st century, the Haqqislamic movement proposed a philosophical and theological revisionism of the classical Islam, in order to adapt it to the society of its time. Haqqislam proclaims Humanism, the Search for Knowledge, and a set of Metaphysical axioms influenced by Sufi scholars, as the foundations of its doctrine, while simultaneously rejecting religious hierarchies and Sunnah, ‘tradition’, as dogma. Their doctrine is profoundly concerned with political and social issues, and the culture built around it has rekindled the scientific and artistic heirloom of the golden age of Islam.
Soldiers and philosophers at once, Haqqislam comes forward as the most strongly humanistic nation. It boasts some of the best medical personnel in the Sphere and a resourceful military rich in Light Infantries. But it’s the darker side of Haqqislam that will surely catch your eye: its frenzied bikers, its well-paid mercenaries, its assassins trained to kill from a mile or an inch away. Such methods may not seem very humanistic, but a philosopher must wonder: what wouldn’t you do to safeguard the Search for Knowledge?
Daf: Haqqislam armies heal themselves, hire mercenaries, employ assassins, poison their enemies and ride bikes. It is a minor player in the Sphere stage, but it is badass to the core. What more can you ask for? If you enjoy widespread chaos and striking terror into the heart of your enemies, join the ranks of Haqqislam.
–Fiday, particularly those of the Anti-Personnel Mines variety, are a terrifying threat to any opponent. Pair them with Saladin’s Strategos L3 for a party you rival won’t soon forget.
–As officers who lead by example, Hafza can perform anywhere you need them: as Lieutenants, dealing pain with their Spitfire or gaining objectives as Specialist Troops. Their Holoprojector L1 is good for keeping a low profile until the time is ripe, or for sowing doubt into your opponent’s mind ("How are you deploying three freaking Saladins?!").
–The backbone of your army will always be your Light Infantry, but it’s your Medium Infantry that brings flavor to the table: shoot poison from afar with a Lasiq’s Viral Sniper Rifle, hunt down hidden enemies with your Djanbazan’s HMG or bring death from above with a Ragik. Whatever your preference, always keep a couple of these tricks up your sleeve. You won’t regret it.
